Stacy Dash has made a remarkable transformation in the years and her views are clear, well supported, and she is up front. It is hard for anyone to contend that she has some agenda, considering that she is making more enemies than friends, because she was once in the left, now she has gone right.

Ms. Dash is a breath of honest, fresh air. As a former Democrat , i can identify with her challenges , but on a smaller scale. I am shocked and discusted by the way her so called Hollywood friends of all races, treat her. She mentioned in an interview that to help stop racism, we need to stop dividing the races bby having things like Black History Month. What if we had a White History Month? Or instead of "All Lives Matter ", we have "Black Lives Matter " and start a group of "White Lives Matter "? She has a good point. She describes how blacks should educate themselves on how Obama has divided our country even more, and how he has done nothing for the black community. How about we get jobs back in the country for everyone? Stacey, I applaud your bravery. I dont feel you are "washed up and only writing this fir attention ". As for your wealthy friends who frown upon wealthy Republicans I say, WTF? Also, shame on your agent for allowing personal political views end your relationship. I, for one, would be extremely proud to be your friend and sidekick. Ive lost friends over this as well. In the end, we all want whats best for this country. I WAS AN UNEDUCATED DEMOCRAT FOR YEARS. My next statement may cause more friends lost....My eyes were opened by a man who is NOT RACIST, DOES NOT HATE WOMEN, DOES NOT NEED THE JOB, but who just needs a little help in speaking his thoughts! Donald Trump! He is actually what most Democrats want in the end if they would just listen! He wants to get the establishment of politics out of our government! He wants to take the wealth away from the very people who are supposed to be looking out for our best interest but instead leave Washington as multi millionaires!Read more ›

Fascinating story. I couldn't put it down. It just goes to show that you never know what struggles others face. An incredible story of a survivor. I loved Stacey's no-nonsense common sense! So many times during the book I found myself saying "Yes!". Love her or hate her, Stacey speaks her mind and the truth of her story is powerful.

Ms. Stacey Dash has triumphed in the face of adversity throughout her longstanding career in the entertainment industry. Moreover, she has successfully achieved the task of becoming a commentator on Fox News! As a result, I highly recommend readers purchase Ms. Stacey Dash's insightful autobiography titled, "There Goes My Social Life" because it is a must-have!

I'm a Prime Member but purchased and read this book via iBooks.
This is a very good book that needs to be read not only by conservatives but especially by people that see no way of getting out of the vicious cycle of poverty, crime and drug ridded neighborhoods. Stacey bares her most difficult life events that led to her belief in God and her conservatism. Most of these difficulties are attributed to life’s circumstances that were out her control but several were due to her own decisions, which she readily admits. Having personally grown up poor I am living the American dream due to a lot of hard work, so I can relate to Stacey’s compelling conservative beliefs and her faith in God. Who better to explain conservative values and her belief in God than someone, like Stacey, who “learned to fish” as opposed to “being given the fish”. I highly recommend this book.

“There Goes My Social Life” is a wonderful revelation of the independence and common sense of Stacey Dash. Ms. Dash and her collaborator Nancy French do an excellent job of combining Ms. Dash’s life experiences with political and economic lessons learned. Although Ms. Dash has not attended college, she is an intelligent woman who has learned many lessons the hard way. She is also a voracious reader who reads Ayn Rand and, commendably, has embraced much of her libertarianism but none of her atheism.

The title is a clever play on words from perhaps Ms. Dash’s most memorable line from her most memorable movie. For people like me who have not seen the movie, it is helpful that she inserts the background behind this line into the book. It is redundant to insert it twice.

There are 13 chapters and they all start with relevant quotes from respected thinkers, including Thomas Jefferson, George Washington Carver and Winston Churchill. These quotes help put the chapters into context and to show the importance of the issues.

The event that led to Ms. Dash becoming a conservative spokesperson was her tweet of support for Mitt Romney during the 2012 presidential campaign. Before she processed this tweet, she went to church to pray. The world would be a better place if more people prayed before expressing themselves on social media.

This book contains many examples of Ms. Dash advocating conservative principles such as limited government and capitalism. She praises Republicans for understanding that the big government solutions advocated by Democrats usually do not work and frequently make problems worse. For example, she is very critical of the War on Drugs and other programs that add to the national debt.
